The Great Bardfield Pavilion
Designed for the Future
In autumn 2024, the community completed a new pavilion, built to Sport England guidelines. It officially opened on 1st June 2025 and now serves as the home of Great Bardfield FC’s Sunday team, while offering flexible space for wider community use.
A Legacy of Community Spirit
Gifted to the parish in the early 1950s, the Playing Field has long been a focal point for local life, traditionally home to football and cricket, but open to all for sports and social occasions. A children’s play area adds to its family-friendly appeal.

A bright, spacious venue featuring:
- Two team changing rooms with showers & toilets
- Officials’ changing room with shower & toilet
- Club & social room with accessible toilets & baby changing
- Refreshments area with fridge & microwave
- Covered veranda with benches and views over the pitches
